Today is an extremely sad day as a community grieves and gathers for Ashling Murphy’s funeral. We send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Ashling Murphy and to everyone at Ashling’s club, Kilcormac Killoughey Gaa. We are so sorry for your loss and are thinking of you all.

It’s hard to put into words as so many are affected in so many different ways. We have set up an online book of condolences here and all are welcome to sign and leave a message or thought:

We are also looking at a number of initiatives as we work through supporting people at this time and work towards helping address issues this tragedy has brought more to light in recent days such as support for women’s aid charities and talks. These will be done in Ashling’s memory. We will update on these later and also we’re happy to take all ideas as always.

But for today and now we will pause, reflect and send our thoughts and prayers.
