U14 Football Skerries Harps 5-6 Vs St. Judes 4-8 - (Main Pitch, Skerries)
The visitors (Judes) ran into a four point to nothing lead, leaving the home team with a lot to do.
Captained by Speedy half forward Thomas McBrien, Skerries through midfielder Conor Walsh set about over turning this lead, as he kicked a fine score.
A scorching run by half forward finished a seventy yard run with an excellent finish to the back of the Judes net.
The visitors replied with a goal and a point with the Skerries defence struggling to keep their attack at bay.
Skerries forwards again came strong with half ford Killian McGinnis kicking a well work point and corner forward Luke Harrison scoring an opportunistic goal just before the break.
Skerries led 2-3 to 1-5 at the break.
The Skerries defence led by Donal Cotter and Cormac Rocks who was excellent all day helped Skerries launch many an attack but failed to capitalise on the scoreboard.
Midfielder Joe Marron covered a huge amount of ground and provided a lot of ammunition to the attack.
Full forward Ciaran Foran rattled the back of the Judes net to push Skerries in front but simple errors led to Judes taking two goal chances.
Again midfielder Conor Walsh and Luke Harrison took their goal opportunities very well to level the match.
To end what was a pulsating game Skerries earned a free in the last minute which Harrison cooly slotted over to leave one in at the end.
