Raheny 0-08    Skerries Harps 3-16

Played in St. Annes pitch 10, Skerries captained by Donal Cotter elected
to play against the wind. Cotter and his defence were excellent
throughout showing great discipline.

Skerries started well leading 0-3 to 0-0, Raheny took the lead with some
well taken points, with the midfield pairing of Fionnan O'Sullivan and
Sam Jones driving hard at the Raheny defence, elusive half forward
Killian McGinnis was able to clip some inspirational scores to keep his
team within touching distance.
Wing back Josh McGough also drove forward to kick a terrific score after
some good defensive play by Fionn O'Leary.

Raheny lead at the break having played with the wind 0-07 to 0-06.

A quick point by Raheny after the interval put Skerries on the back
foot, but the Skerries mid-field showing their athleticism and movement
had Raheny in difficulty.
Half Forward Thomas McBrien started to run at their defence with great
succes and with full forward Joe Marron proving a real handful for the
opposition with some excellent movement, his use of the ball created
many chances throughout, Skerries started to push home their advantage
with some excellent scores.

The ability of the Skerries team to use both feet resulted in some
excellent scores, none more so than Adam Bund who was a bundle of energy
throughout and a real thorn in the oppositions side.

With Cotter intercepting the Raheny attacks and launching some excellent
attacks Skerries now had the wind in their sails, Robert Delaney
finishing some excellent moves along with Callum McDonnell.

With centre back Conor Walsh going off injured, Cian Mullarkey moved out
of the corner and his pace immediatelly had a telling effect creating
many an overlap.

Overall these young Skerries men never let up and worked constantly to
see the match out.
