U10 Camogie Match Report

posted 10 Jun 2013, 08:43 by Skerries Harps

Thirteen girls from the U10 Camogie team played Naomh Mearnog in the Blistering Sunshine in Portmarnock on Sunday. Armed with pleanty of water and Sunscreen they took on the fancied Home team in a four team blitz.

The Girls split evenly into a seven and six and played eight a side, with the help of some local Mearnog girls.

It was perfect condition for Camogie and both Skerries teams went about the game in the same manner as usual Getting well stuck in and trying out any new skills learned in training. We had skill points, hand passing, point scores, lifting and striking and great clashing.

Both Skerries teams won both their games in well played matchs against good opposition. The kids left Portmarnock thinking of Ice cream BBQ's and hitting the beach.

Thanks to all the parents who travelled and helped on the day. Particularly to John and Ger who looked after a team. Liz our CFO, and Maura our professional photographer.
