St Vincent De Paul annual Christmas Appeal supported by Skerries Harps

posted 22 Dec 2015, 01:22 by Skerries Harps

As we approach the Christmas festivities and New Year celebrations this is always a good time to reflect on the plight of others who are not as fortunate as ourselves. The St Vincent De Paul society are working tirelessly to assist families and individuals who have fallen on hard times many of whom live amongst us here in Skerries.

With this in mind we will be holding our annual charity fundraising events over the festive period. On St Stephens day will have our adult football charity match for the Mickey Scott cup at 12 noon followed by our Hurling/Camogie match at 1pm and on Monday the 28th we have our charity golf outing in Skerries G.C. timesheet 9-30 to 11-30.

All proceeds from these events will go to the local branch of St Vincent De Paul.

Donations to this worthy cause can be made at our matches on St Stephen’s day or in the Clubhouse which will be open throughout the day or indeed at our golf day on the 28th of December.

If anyone would be in a position to obtain corporate, business or any other contribution towards this fund it would be gratefully accepted and appreciated.

So let's complete what has been a memorable year for Skerries Harps with the opening of our new clubhouse by making a serious effort to assist those who find themselves in need of help.

Kind regards and season’s greetings
