Skerries Harps Easter Schools Hurling & Camogie tournament

The 4th year of the  Easter schools hurling & camogie tournament, sponsored by Jane Reilly's 'Sports & Photo shop" & Gerard Boylan's "Skerries frameworks" took place over the 2nd week of the schools Easter holiday period. Scheduled every year for the 1st week of the school break, but because of inclement weather, it took place in glorious sunshine over the 2nd week.

110 boys & girls from from every primary school in the town, took part in a senior competition for 5th & 6th classes, & a Junior competition for 3rd & 4th class pupils.
There is no doubt that Skerries will be supplying players for future Dublin Hurling & Camogie teams.
Fantastic skill & competitive action on display all week. It's fairly obvious that our uniquely distinctly Irish sport of Hurling is becoming a crowd pleaser in skerries.

What a great family day out.

The roll of honor was as follows:
Junior cup winners; Clare, captained by Eoghan Wilde
Senior cup winners; Dublin, captained by Ryan Tobin
Player of the tournament; killian McGinnis
'FairPlay' winner; linzi Harrison.
