Skerries Harps Club Notes 4th September

Great weekend for the McMeel's pharmacy sponsored Senior footballers who clinched the AFL2 title with two games to spare by defeating Ballinteer St.Johns 3-11 to 1-10 at a packed Skerries on sat night, and they will play in AFL1 for the first time in over fifty years next season, great achievement by all involved over many years of endeavour. Not to be outdone the AFL6 team beat St.Brigids to stay joint top of the division with one game to play.
During the week the Senior ladies footballers recorded two league wins and the Senior camogie team made it two wins in the C'Ship by defeating Ballyboden.

The Major Fundraiser of the year is now less than a week away: The Cow Pat Challenge and Family Fun Day: Sunday 11th September 1pm to 7pm. Tickets now on Sale at €5 each. Winning Square ( where Cow Pat lands) €1,000. Plus 8 Runner Up Prizes €100. Bonus Prize: 2 All-Ireland Football Final (Dublin V Mayo)Tickets plus Limo to Croke Park. T&C Apply. At least 50% of proceeds of this important Fundraiser will be assigned to the Ball Wall Development. Guest of Honour 5pm , Maizy The Cow! The Club wish to welcome our new GPO Louise Byrne and hope  she has many happy times at the club.
The Academy resumes on Sat 17th Sept at 10am. pre-Registration on sat 10th Sept from 10am to 11am. The Academy caters for boys and girls born in 2009/2011 and must be attending Primary School.
