Skerries Harps Club Notes 4th December 2017

Hard Luck to our U21 Footballers on their defeat to Round Towers Lusk in the U21 B Championship Final on Sat 2nd December, bringing the 2017 season for both Adult and Juvenile Teams to a close. Thanks to all who attend our hugely popular and successful Juvenile Presentation evening on Sun 3rd December, and to all the award winners. 2017 has been a fantastic year for the Juvenile section of the club, with a lot of silverware added to the trophy cabinet and club history made. Here’s to another successful 2018 for all our teams on both the Adult and Juvenile side! Also thanks to all who helped on the evening - setting up the area, tidying up afterwards etc. All very much appreciated by the committee. Many thanks to our Juvenile Sponsor Luke Moriarty of Moriarty's Supervalu Skerries for taking the time to attend the event, and congratulations to Luke on being awarded the JC Savage Fingal Business Person of the year award for 2017. The club very much appreciates the support of all our sponsors and wish all continued success in 2018.

ACADEMY for 2017 ended on Saturday the 2nd of December with a visit from Santa Claus for all our young players - a great morning had by all and thanks to all who donated to the collection for St Francis Hospice - funds raised amounted to €400. Many thanks to Santa for taking the time to drop in and greet the children! 

Academy will recommence in January 2018 - keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for details. 

Gormanston indoor hurling will also start in January 2018 - watch this space for details. Always a great fun event for our players from Academy to u12.

Saturday the 16th of December - Christmas Draw & Music Night - All members welcome to attend! Retro Raffle will take place, with house raffle for those who attend so a night not to be missed!

NYE 2017 - Skerries Harps Presents Bob McQuaid (Swing/Jazz) plus food - tickets €15. A night not to be missed - contact Joanne /Fergal to book your spot - limited to 80! 

Tickets for the Club Christmas Draw taking place Dec 16th, are now available from the Clubhouse Bar, Joanne Kenny, Fergal Lynch and all fundraising committee members. Tickets only €5 or 6 for €25. Cash Prizes, Hampers, Vouchers and much more.

Skerries Harps Annual Christmas Tree collection -Tags are now on sale for €5 - when you buy your Christmas tree look out for our team of Feile Fundraisers.
