This Junior A Championship Ladies match between the close neighbours, both who had two wins each in the Championship from three games would have a big say in who qualifies at the end of the round robin series. On a perfect night for football played in Skerries, the home side opened brightly with their All-Star Lyndsey Davey beating three opponents before she crashed the ball to the corner of the net. Davey added three further points before the visitors replied with a point. The remainder of the half flowed from end to end with chances missed on both sides before Skerries added a couple of points to go in 1-5 to 0-1 ahead.

Harps with the aid of the breeze extended their lead with four unanswered points from Davey, Man O'war kept going and after a couple goal chances went astray pointed twice, before two scores from Trish Ferguson and Aine Gilmore saw Harps home on a scoreline of 1-13 to 0-3. This was a great team performance from a very young and upcoming Harps outfit.
