Skerries Harps arrived in Clontarf on a perfect morning for football hoping to preserve their 100% start to the league, having opening their campaign with two wins.
The Home team thou had other ideas and opened the scoring with a point from a free. Two minutes later Harps had the ball in the net after a good move which Colin Daly finished, a point by Harry Dawson and a long distance score from Daly had Skerries 1-2 to a 0-1 in front, then Scoil replied with four unanswered points to level things up. At this stage the game was hoting up nicely before Dawson put the visitors back in front from a free before Scoil struck back with a well taken goal. The home side maintained their lead to half time and went in 1-06 to 1-04 ahead.
