Great win for U15 in the Championship

U15 Championship versus St. Pats (P)

Faced with the task of travelling to take on St. Pats of Palmerstown an early start was required for the "journey" ahead.

Playing with a slight wind Skerries raced into an early lead with a well placed lob by wing forward Adam Bowyer to the back of the home teams net, this was quickly followed up with a Luke Harrison and Ben Keogh brace of points.

This set the tone for the game ahead with the home team dropping their heads and never recovering from this blistering start.

With midfielders Tom Carroll and Ruairi Gielty providing an endless supply of ball into the forward line Skerries racked up a comfortable lead at half time 4-6 to 1-2

St. Pats started the second half with a brace of points but the Skerries defence organised themselves and ensured they would struggle to break down this resolute defence, led admirably by Captain Mark Mulcahy.

Skerries will be disappointed with the quality of shooting they displayed in the second half and will need to work on this ahead of the semi-final.

Overall a comfortable win for Skerries with the squad gelling with each outing.
