Féile 2014 was a great success. Read all about it!!!

First of all we must thank our hosts in Rush as they did a superb job organising the event, from registration procedures and changing facilities to providing much appreciated drinks and sandwiches for the players and mentors, as well as tea and coffee facilities and a tuck shop for parents and other spectators. Well done and thank you to all involved in St. Maurs!

It was nice to see all the players marching in the parade at the start, with the Skerries girls all wearing their new hoodies, kindly subsidised by the club.

The matches got underway without any delay. The teams were evenly matched and our girls played extremely well, giving it their all; they did themselves and their coaches and mentors proud and represented their club well in division 2, which was of a very high standard. Luck was not with us though and we didn’t get the scores needed to win the matches although our defence was very strong and we conceded the least amount of goals and points in our group.

Despite the disappointment the girls enjoyed the Féile and did not let themselves down, showing true sporting spirit both on and off the pitch and putting in every effort until the last match was finished.

Well done to Clontarf for winning on the day!
