Skerries Harps Club Notes 29th May 2017

Congrats to the Senior 1 Footballers on their League win over Ballyboden on Wed 24th and on their draw with St Maurs on Sat 27th. The Senior Ladies recorded a win against Clann Mhuire in the Intermediate championship on Wed 24th at home and the Junior 1 footballers who defeated Raheny on Sun 28th in the league. 

Well done to the Moriarty sponsored u16 Div 2 Hurlers on their league win over Oliver Plunketts ER and to the U14 Div 2 hurlers who also defeated Oliver Plunketts ER on Sat 27th in the league.

Congratulations to the girls from St Patrick's SNS who won the replay of the schools final against Garristown on Friday last. All results can be viewed on www.skerriesharps.ie/results.

The Time-sheet for our next outing in Swords Open G.C. on Friday June 9th 12 to 2pm is now available.

Golf will be followed by meal, presentation of jacket to new Captain Tony O Brien and prizegiving
in Harps clubhouse from 8pm.

Well done to the Moriarty sponsored u16 Div 2 Hurlers on their league win over Round Towers Clondalkin on Tues 16th & the U14 Div 1 Footballers who defeated Ballyboden St Enda’s on Sat 21st Hard luck to the Aisling Spillane & the Leinster camogie team who were beaten by Ulster in the Junior Inter provincial final on Sunday 21st. Well done also to Eoin Wilde (pictured) who represented the club on the Dublin U14 hurling panel vs Kilkenny on 21st May.

Well done to the Junior 1 Footballers who defeated Castleknock in the Championship on Sun 14th May. The Stacks sponsored U14 Div 1 Camogie team defeated Ballyboden in the league on Wed 10th May.  All results can be viewed on www.skerriesharps.ie/results. Well done to all our Juveniles who represented the club on the various Dublin panels over the weekend - Aidan Coleman & Naoise Gilmore with the U15 Dublin footballers vs Westmeath, Sarah Rogan & Jane Maguire with the U14 Ladies footballers & to all 7 of our U14 Camogie team who won the Leinster Shield Final on Sun 14th - Robyn Buckley, Rachel O'Brien, Sarah Rogan, Jane Maguire, Linzi Harrison, Faye McLoughlin & Sorcha Murphy.

Well done to the Junior Hurlers who defeated Ballyboden in the first round of the Junior B Championship on Sun 7th May. The Moriarty sponsored U16 Div 2 Hurlers defeated Faughs last Tuesday 3rd May in the league. The U14 Div 1 Footballers recorded a win against Sylvesters on Sat 6th May.  All results can be viewed on www.skerriesharps.ie/results

Congratulations to  Stephen Smith, Donal McIlgorm ,Sean Rocks & the Dublin U21s on their victory in the All Ireland Final against Galway on Sat 29th April. Congrats also to Aishling Spillane and the Dublin Premier Junior Camogie team on their win over Roscommon and the Div 3 National League final. Well done to our Adult Hurlers who recorded a draw against St Kevin's in the first round of the Championship

Well done to our U14 Hurling teams who competed in Feile on Sat 29th, unfortunately not making it out of the group stages but who represented the club with pride on the field of play.  All results can be viewed on www.skerriesharps.ie/results

Well done to our Senior  Footballers on their championship win against Fingallians on Fri 21st. Our Junior team defeated Wanderers in the Junior B Championship on Sun 23rd. Both our Moriarty sponsored U16 teams  made it through to the next stages of the U16 A & D championships defeating St Margarets & St Finians on Sat 22nd.

Well done to our U14 Camogie teams who competed in Feile ,unfortunately not making it out of the group stages but who represented the club well on the field of play.

Congrats to the Dublin Minors and Liam Woodcock and Fionnan O'Sullivan on their win over Meath on Sat.  All results can be viewed onwww.skerriesharps.ie/results

Adult Football Championship this weekend`

This weekend sees are 3 Adult Football teams commence their Championship campaigns.

First into action are the Senior Footballers who face Fingallians in the 1st round of the Senior Championship on Friday (April 21st) at 7pm in Garristown.

On Sunday (April 23rd) both Junior teams are in action. At 11am the Junior 1's are home to Wanderers in the Junior 'B' Championship while the Junior 2's are away to Kilmacud Crokes at 3pm
