Congratulations to the Dublin Senior Football Team & Management on their victory in the All Ireland Final yesterday over Mayo to make the historic 3 in a row. Well done to our Minor ladies Footballers on their wins over St Annes & Binn Eadair in the Div 4 Championship this past week. Our Senior 2 Camogie team defeated Kilmacud Crokes in the Championship and our Senior 5 Camogie team defeated Raheny also in the Championship on  Sun 17th Sept . Well done to our Junior 5 Footballers on their win over Erins Isle in the League on Sunday the 10th of September and to the U16 Camogie team who defeated Erins Isle in the Championship on Saturday the 9th of September. The U16 Div 1 Footballers defeated Castleknock on Sat 9th in the league. Hard Luck to Aishling Spillane and the Dublin Premier Junior Camogie Team who were defeated in the All Ireland Camogie Premier Junior Final by Westmeath in Croke Park.

The Club Shop will be open next Saturday 16th from 10:00 till 11:30 and every Saturday during Academy from the 16th September till the 2nd December. The Club Shop also endeavours to open during scheduled games on the main pitch. In the Club Shop there is a New range of training tops and navy training shorts which are available to purchase in adult and children's sizes, along with many other Club items. Feel free to call in to the shop and have a look. 

The now much anticipated Annual Eve of the All Ireland Jersey night takes place on Sat 16th Next from 8.30pm in the Clubhouse. Music by "Room for One More". Cover Charge €5. All welcome for what is always a great event in the clubs calendar. Come down in your club or county jersey!

A Raffle for 2 All Ireland Final Tickets will take place on the night - €5 per entry available from Clubhouse Bar, Fundraising Committee or Joanne Kenny/Fergal Lynch. 

The U12 Boys team are also raffling a Signed Dublin Jersey after the Final on Sunday - details can be found on the Club Facebook page.

All Ireland Football Final Tickets

Members,

The club have been allocated a limited number of Stand and Terrace tickets for the All Ireland Football Final between Dublin and Mayo on Sunday September 17th.  Stand Tickets are €80, Terrace Tickets are €40. 

There are no family tickets available for the Final. As with previous years we will conduct a member’s draw to allocate these tickets. The draw will take place on Thursday September 14th at 10pm in the Clubhouse.  

To participate in the draw, you need to

  • be a fully paid up adult club member for 2017 (membership must have been paid by March 31st 2017).
  • text your name to 086 6032017 by 6pm on Sunday September 10th (texts received after this time will not be included in the draw).

 

Some important points in relation to the draw

  • If you cannot make the draw on Thursday September 14th at 10pm you should nominate a proxy (has to be a fully paid up club member) when sending your text request to be included in the draw.
  • If your name is drawn & you, or in the case of a proxy, are not present then the ticket will be re-allocated.
  • Each name pulled out in the draw will be allocated one ticket which will need to be paid for there and then.

Well done to our Junior hurlers on their victory over Ballyboden St Endas in the AHL5 on Sunday 3rd of September.  Congratulations also to the Senior 4 Camogie team on their Senior 2 Championship win vs Raheny on Thursday the 31st of August and to the Senior Ladies on their win over Croi Ro Naofa in Div 3 League on Wednesday the 30th. Congratulations to the Dublin U16A camogie team & Megan Carroll on their Leinster Final win on Saturday the 2nd of September.  Best of Luck to Aishling Spillane and the Dublin Premier Junior Camogie Team in the All Ireland Final next Sunday the 10th of September @ 12 noon against Westmeath in Croke Park. Well done to our Junior Footballers on their Championship Victory against Oliver Plunketts ER last Friday the 25th of August. Congratulations to Lyndsey Davey, Sinead O'Mahony & the Dublin Ladies Footballers on their victory against Kerry to make it to the All Ireland Final on September the 24th. Hard luck to Fionnan O'Sullivan and the Dublin Minors on their defeat to Derry in the semi-final on Sunday. Well done to Eoin Wilde who played with the Dublin U14 Hurlers in the Tony Forristal Tournament in Waterford on Sat 26th.

The Inaugural Bryan Cullen U16 Football tournament took place on Sunday 6th August with clubs from Kildare, Galway, Kerry, Meath, Down, Dublin, Leitrim and the hosts Harps competing for the Oliver Moore Memorial Trophy. Many thanks to all teams who travelled to take part in this festival of football and congratulations to St Marys Burren, Down who won the Shield final and to overall tournament winners, of the Oliver Moore Trophy, Corofin, Galway.  Many thanks also to all who supported the teams on the day.
