Skerries Harps Annual Christmas Charity Golf Outing.

Skerries Harps annual Christmas charity golf outing will take place in Skerries G.C. on Fri 27th Dec.

Time sheet is from 9-30am to 11-30am. Golf will be followed by meal and prize presentation in Harps clubhouse at 8pm that evening. All proceeds from this event will go to the local branch of St Vincent De Paul. To book your tee time contact Paul Murray on 085-1740474.

Harps Zingo Results for Sunday the 8th Dec. Zingo result: 7-6-4-1-5-3-2. We had No winners of Jackpot or Dividend this week. Next draw Sunday 15th Dec Jackpot will be a nice even €8,000. Dividend €250. In house draw every week in the build up to Christmas for hampers/vouchers! Congrats to yesterdays in house draw winner Eddie Fynes! Envelopes still €2 or 3 for a fiver. Christmas Draw takes place 22 December in the Clubhouse at 8pm- tickets available from Joanne, Fergal or any committee member - cash prizes and hampers up for grabs for only €5 ! This year we are hosting a family friendly evening, so come down to the club with the kids, wear your Christmas Jumper, enjoy the festivities and get Christmas week off to a great start! 

Christmas Tree tags are now available from our 2020 Feile teams - on sale at Skerries Hardware, Mow plus/Chris Tree @ the Monument and Skerries Christmas Trees opposite Gerry’s. For only €5 our team of volunteers will collect and dispose of your tree on Jan 5th!

Congratulations to our Minor Camogie team on their B Shield win over Ballinteer SJ yesterday 1st of December! Well done to the team and mentors on a great achievement.

A great day was had at our last Academy for 2019 last Saturday the 30th of  November when we enjoyed a special visit from Santa for all the boys and girls!! 

Well done also to our Juvenile players from u8-u16 who were recognised for their achievements during 2019, and a special congrats to the players from u13 to u16 teams who received Player of the Year and Most improved players awards!  Many thanks to all those who helped organise, set up and tidy up after the event. 

This was followed by our Mentors and Volunteer Appreciation night, another great event on the club calendar, thanks to the organising committee for all their effort and hard work in putting together a great social event!

Christmas Draw takes place 22 December in the Clubhouse - tickets available from Joanne, Fergal or any committee member - cash prizes and hampers up for grabs for only €5!

Thanks to those who attended the 2019 AGM last Thursday the 28th - details of the incoming executive committee will be available via our social media platforms this week. Many thanks to those who have stepped forward for 2020. 

The club extends its deepest sympathy to the Fay family, on the sad passing of Raymond this weekend. May he rest in peace.

Club shop open during academy for Christmas shopping, order book for items not in stock has closed. All those who have ordered specifically for Christmas will be contacted when the order is delivered.

Thurs 28 Nov - Club AGM takes place 8.30pm sharp at the Clubhouse. All members encouraged to attend to learn more about the day to day running of the club.

Well done to the simply amazing Lyndsey Davey on winning her 5th All-Star award on Saturday night! It was great to see so many members down to celebrate with Lyndsey yesterday evening, especially our younger members to whom Lyndsey gives so much of her time and experience! A fantastic ambassador for club and county, all at Skerries Harps are very proud of our club hero!

Congratulations to our U13 Camogie team on their Shield win over St Maurs yesterday, in a tough game that went to extra time - great performances from both teams.

Hard luck to the U16A Boys Footballers on their A Championship semi-final defeat to Kilmacud Crokes on Sat & to the U16 Girls footballers on their Shield final defeat to Round Towers Clondalkin on Sunday.

Congratulations to our Minor Ladies Football team on winning their Championship final against near neighbours St Maurs played in tough conditions on Saturday the 9th. Well done to the team and mentors. Hard luck to our Junior Footballers who lost out in the Junior 5 All County Championship final to Ballyboden yesterday, Sunday the 10th.

The launch of Skerries Autism Town takes place this Tues 8pm sharp at Scoil Realt Na Mara. All welcome to attend and learn more about this initiative and how to become involved.

Skerries Harps Club Notes 4th November 2019

It was a weekend of mixed fortunes on the field of play over the weekend - Hard luck to our Intermediate Footballers who lost out in the Junior 1 Championship final to Kilmacud Crokes and to the Minor Footballers who lost out to Thomas Davis in the A championship Semi-Final. The U21s also lost out to Ballyboden on Saturday the 2nd. Well done to the U16 A Championship footballers on their Qtr Final win over Lucan, they now play Kilmacud Crokes on the 16th of November in the Semi-Ffinal. The Junior team defeated St Brigids in the Junior 5 Championship Semi-Final and will play Ballyboden in next weekend's final.

What a weekend! Skerries Harps Presents the Chaser was an event to remember that's for sure!  Congratulations to our 6 contestants who were randomly selected to face the Chaser! Well done to Mark Grimes, Karen Birney, Collie Clinton, Sinead O'Connor, Ray Murphy & Irene Bund for taking on the challenge - and walked away with prize money too for their efforts!

Well done to the Moriarty sponsored Minor A Footballers, who defeated Whitehall Colmcille on Sunday 20th in the A Championship Quarter Final. Hard luck to the Minor B's who lost out to Trinity Gaels in their Championship quarter final. Congrats also to the Intermediate Football team on their win over Raheny in the Junior Championship Qtr Final. The Junior Footballers recorded a AFL9 win over Portobello.

Congratulations to the Minor ladies who defeated Beann Eadair in Div 3 Championship Semi Final on Saturday to secure a Final place. Hard luck to the U14 Camogie team who lost out to Raheny in their shield final on Sat.

SKERRIES HARPS PRESENTS THE CHASER. Sunday the 27th of October @ City north hotel 8pm sharp. The Chaser's are in place and are preparing well for our big event - only 6 days to go! Remember, you can nominate a friend or an assigned member of the committee to face the Chaser on your behalf. Teams have received an allocation of tickets and all mentors are asked to return monies on Mon or Tuesday evenings between 7-8pm at the Clubhouse. Alternatively, to purchase tickets, please contact Joanne 086 4058523 or Denise 087 2843590. Group tickets admit 4 adults for only €60 and single tickets €20.

Buses have been arranged to take you to the event and back to the Clubhouse afterwards! €10 return, tickets can be purchased from Joanne /Denise also. Bus tickets will be on sale in the clubhouse tonight Monday and Tuesday 22nd between 7-8pm.
